Kelosoft® is a cream used for the treatment of scars. The cream has a softening and smoothing effect on bulging scars. It can also be used to prevent the build-up of scar tissue after skin injuries (burns and cuts) and operations.
Non-medicinal ingredients: cera alba, lanolin hydroxylated, methylparaben, macrogol 400, polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate, hydrolyzed collagen, fragrance, purified water
For external use. Do not ingest.
Recommended dose - adults and adolescents:
(13 years and above): A topical daily dose of Kelosoft® scar cream of about 0.25 g is massaged into the skin. Massage a small amount of cream into the scar with the fingertip for 2-3 minutes every evening before bedtime, then cover with a piece of gauze if prepared.
Generally, positive results are not visible until after 6 to 12 months.
Treatment should be continued daily without interruption. Depending on the extent and thickness of the undesired scar formation, treatment should be continued for several weeks to months. Consistent and regular use is essential. Keep Kelosoft® out of the sight and reach of children. Kelosoft® should not be used in children under 13 years of age unless approved by a doctor. Do not use during pregnancy, as Kelosoft® may cause pregnancy-induced scarring to worsen. During breastfeeding, use only after consulting with a doctor. Do not use near the eyes, on mucous membranes or around the mouth. In the event of contact, rinse thoroughly with water. For skin injuries or after operations, Kelosoft® should be used at the earliest after 14 days, i.e. only when the wound has safely healed. Keep to the dosage stated in the patient information leaflet or as prescribed by the doctor. Protect the scars from exposure to sunlight (covered). Kelosoft® should not be used by persons with known hypersensitivity to one of the excipients of the cream or any other ingredients of the product. Hypersensitivity skin reactions may occur in isolated cases. These may take the form of reddening, itching and burning. In such cases, do not continue using Kelosoft®.
Store in a dry place at room temperature (15-25 ºC) in the original packaging.
