CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS: Use only as directed. Drink sufficient water to ensure that no net loss of body water occurs. Repeated or prolonged use may cause dependence on laxatives for bowel functions. Do not take any type of laxative for more than one week, unless directed by a physician. Do not take within 2 hours of another medicine because the desired effect of the other may be reduced. Use of this product may result in abdominal cramping or nausea. CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use in the presence of undiagnosed abdominal pain or hemorrhage, fever, nausea, or vomiting. Do not use in case of known or suspected intestinal obstruction. Rectal bleeding or failure to respond may indicate a serious condition. Consult a physician. Do not use this product if you are on a low salt diet or are suffering from kidney disease or congestive heart failure. Persons who have impaired renal function should avoid use of this product unless directed by a physician. Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. NOTE: Occasional presence of white precipitation at bottom of solution does not alter potency of product. KEEP OUT OF REACH AND SIGHT OF CHILDREN.
Serve cool
Adults: 3/4 to 1 bottle (225 ml to 300 ml). Children 6 to 12 years: 1/2 to 3/4 of a bottle (150 ml to 225 ml). Children less than 6 years: 1/4 to 1/3 of a bottle (75 ml to 100 ml). Children under 2 years: consult a physician. Important: drink a full glass (250 ml or 8 ounces) of water or other liquid with each oral dose and each hour for 4 to 6 hours before and for 3 hours after taking Citrodan.
